Experience Builds Confidence
Mercury Development has been developing iPhone applications for 3 years and Mac OS X applications (on which the iOS is based) for 9 years. We are experts on all aspects of App development.

Available on the App Store:

These are some of the iPhone applications we have developed for our customers since iPhone was launched in 2007 (You can click on the icon to take you to the app store)

Bobby Universal Remote
Bobby is the first iPhone remote that allows you to control all of your home entertainment devices. Bobby has recently been featured in New York Times "A Universal Remote That Makes Sense" and by CNN at CES 2009.
A complex project that involves an iPhone app integrated with external hardware (Global Cache equipment) that interacts with a web server.

SAP Carbon Tracker
SAP Carbon Tracker enables users to manage their personal carbon footprint from commuting, vacations, or business trips. The application uses iPhone GPS to measure distance so that Carbon Tracker can calculate the carbon footprint of a trip based on the type of transportation used.
Getting a reliable reading from iPhone GPS hardware is not as easy as the iPhone SDK claims.

Systenomics TinRoof App
This location-aware app connects local shoppers to local businesses. Merchants can easily create coupons from the iPhone. Users can find coupons and locations for nearby businesses and share them with friends via Facebook and Twitter.
Getting a reliable reading from iPhone GPS hardware is not as easy as the iPhone SDK claims.

ICE+ by Beasley Allen Law Firm
This In Case of Emergency application stores critical information such as emergency contacts, medications, allergies and medical conditions in an intuitive user interface.
The application includes an accident checklist and a voice recorder to obtain witness statements.

yurbuds
This application allows a user to take and submit a picture of their own ear with a reference object in order to obtain perfectly sized earbud covers for comfort and audio quality.
The application includes a custom control to allow a user take a photo by touching anywhere on the iPhone screen.

iTranz Language Matrix
The iTranz Language Matrix is an innovative mobile phrase translation application with audio that supports 8 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin, and Cantonese. AppStore has three editions.
iTranz has an elaborate user interface that relies almost exclusively on custom interface controls (not available in iPhone SDK).

Entertainment Apps

iSonar
See the location of nearby friends using a radar-like interface using GPS and data networks. Interface with Facebook or your address book to easily add more friends to follow. Ping a contact to request an updated location.
iSonar uses GPS, Data and Push Notification to allow a friend to send or request a GPS location.

Wobble
Wobble is an innovative 3D motion iPhone app in two editions: Premium and Lite. This application was heavily covered by online media, including Gizmodo.
Wobble uses a 3D engine and realistic wireframe to calculate which pixels to distort, and a realistic physics model to calculate acceleration from accelerometer data.

Trolls
Trolls is a 9 piece puzzle game with 45 levels, each one slightly more difficult than the last. This puzzle has a deceptively simple look, but it is difficult to solve.
We created a desktop application to help generate new levels with a specified difficulty setting. We added additional controls to prevent cheating.

Windpower
Using state of the art microwave technology, the turbines can beam electricity to your phone battery... or so a customer claims. Users can spin turbines with their fingers as well as by blowing into the microphone.
Converting iPhone microphone input into a wind speed reading was an interesting task.

Steamworks
Steamworks is an addictive and fun puzzle game that develops logical thinking, strategy, and visual/spatial perception. The goal is to get Steam moving around between parts of a machine by tapping to move the pieces. Includes a nice animation sequence at the end of each level.
Even before SDK 3.0 was previewed to developers, we created a flexible architecture for Steamworks that will allow in-app purchases of additional levels with minimal development. This feature will be added in the next version.

Bough Puzzle
Bough Puzzle is an exciting logic game in which you attempt to restore a tree to life by piecing together its broken branches. The game offers three difficulty levels and thousands of games for each level.
Unlike similar puzzle games, each puzzle layout is dynamically generated within the app, which requires some advanced mathematics.

Transplant
The Transplant application allows users to creatively merge two images. To perform the merge, users rub away selected areas of the top image to reveal the second image.
Performing fading effect in real time on iPhone requires fast in-device image processing.

SplatFace: Against the Glass
SplatFace is a fun application to splat anyone or anything against the glass of the iPhone. For any image, users can add regions that will hit the glass of their iPhone when the device is shaken.
SplatFace requires real-time performance of several complex image processing algorithms.

iTonk
The popular Tonk card game comes to the iPhone! Users can play against computer-controlled players increasing in skill with each completed level. Boasting an intuitive graphical interface and challenging gameplay, this game is addictive and fun!
The game implements artificial intelligence to control computer players.
